Sarah Anderson is one of two librarians at John Champe High School in Aldie, Va. Prior to her tenure at Champe, she served as the librarian of Buffalo Trail Elementary School, also in Aldie. Sarah is passionate about building a welcoming and inclusive community in the library, both in person and virtually, as well as increasing opportunities for students to explore their creative and critical thinking skills. She co-sponsors Champe’s Project Lit Community Chapter and works to encourage literacy and love of reading in the Champe community. Sarah is very passionate about reading the latest in YA, designing an inclusive program and collection, organizing Maker activities, and making everything beautiful! She serves as a leader for colleagues both informally as a sounding board for fellow librarians and as an official LCPS Mentor for new librarians. Additionally, she has had the privilege of being a cooperating teacher for 5 pre-service librarians during her time at John Champe High School.
