Gina Costello is the Associate Dean of Technology and Special Collections at Louisiana State University Libraries where she has worked since 2004. Prior to LSU she worked at the University of Tennessee and the University of Southern Mississippi. She has written and directed grants, including the “Digitizing Louisiana Newspapers Project” and “Free People of Color in Louisiana: Revealing an unknown past,” both funded by the National Endowment for Humanities. Costello has presented and published on librarianship and digitization and is a member of Core. She is the immediate past chair of the statewide Louisiana Digital Consortium and chair of the University of Tennessee School of Information Sciences Advisory Board. Costello is also a PhD candidate in the LSU Educational Leadership & Research: Higher Education Administration program.
