Dennis Nangle is a Senior Program Officer in the Office of Library Services at the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). As one of three Senior Program Officers under the Grants to States program, his portfolio includes the oversight of 20 state libraries’ LSTA funds, totaling more than $54 million per year. As a senior program officer, he provides technical assistance to the state libraries in his portfolio, monitors funded projects, and assesses state and national impact. Prior to joining IMLS, Dennis was the Deputy State Librarian of Maryland. He has nearly 20 years of experience in librarianship, ranging from public, academic, special, and government institutions. He holds an MLS degree from the University of Maryland, College Park.
