Amanda D. McKay, Director, joined the Effingham Public Library in 2011. Her education includes an MLS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Library and Information Sciences as well as an MA from Eastern Illinois University in English. Amanda is a member of the American Library Association and the Illinois Library Association, serving on the latter’s board for three years. Amanda finds joy in working at a public library and helping people find the resources they need to live more meaningful and full lives.
