Kimberly Coughran has been the Director of the Brookfield Public Library since 2005. Eleven years of annual special event fundraising combined with participation in local community organizations and activities such as Rotary, the Chamber of Commerce and the Farmers Market led to a transformational $1 million gift to kick off the Library’s capital campaign in 2018. The Linda Sokol Francis Brookfield Library opened the doors of its new 21,000 square foot facility in July, 2021.
