Vilma Brandt De Barros has been working as a library specialist for 30 years, the past six of them for the Department of Juvenile Justice. As a college student, she built libraries for towns and groups scattered along the Amazon River, delivering books on boat trips that sometimes took days. After earning her Bachelor’s in Library Science from the University Federal of Santa Catarina in Brazil, she has worked as a librarian in a private bank, public library, and university library in addition to working as a professor teaching many subjects including marketing in libraries.
