Kenneth McDonnell has been a Financial Education Program Analyst with the CFPB since August 2013 and is responsible for developing and implementing initiatives intended to educate and empower consumers to make informed financial decisions.
Prior to joining the CFPB, Mr. McDonnell served as the Director of Research and Outreach at the Insured Retirement Institute (IRI) and with the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI) where he lead and oversaw EBRI’s two financial capability programs, the American Savings Education Council (ASEC) and Choose to Save.
Mr. McDonnell is a native of Chicago, IL, earned his Master of Arts and his Bachelor of Arts from Northern Illinois University.
