Nancy Florio is the Research Librarian at Kent School in Kent, CT. She is a member-at-large on the the board of the Association of Independent School Librarians. She earned her Bachelor's in Counseling from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA, Master's in Library Science from Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven, CT, and Graduate Certificate In instructional Technology Design from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, MA. Nancy was previously the library director at three private, independent schools in New England, in addition to serving as an adjunct faculty in the Master’s in Library Science program at Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven, CT. Her course, Cultural Memorials and Digital Archives, was taught in conjunction with the VOICES of September 11th organization helping families and loved ones memorialize those who perished on 9/11.
Nancy is an avid knitter and potter; her handmade tile can be found throughout the house she built with her husband in Northwest Connecticut.
