Erin Boyington began working in correctional libraries in 2013 after receiving her MLIS from the University of Washington. She began as a Library Technician II and then Librarian II, providing library services and programming to Sterling Correctional Facility, the largest state prison in Colorado. She currently works for Institutional Library Development at the Colorado State Library. She has served on several book award committees, including The Reading List, Excellence in Graphic Literature Awards, and the Stonewall Book Awards. Her publications include chapters about prison librarianship in "Intellectual Freedom Stories from a Shifting Landscape" and "Exploring the Roles and Practices of Libraries in Prisons: International Perspectives."
