Marin County Free Library
Raemona Little Taylor is Deputy Director of County Library Services at Marin County Free Library (MCFL) . She supports public services for 10 branches and 2 mobile vehicles, including The Learning Bus, a mobile preschool, with a focus on advancing educational equity for students of color. Marin County coordinates Pre-K-12 educational partnerships, manages joint school-community libraries, and integrates 21st century learning including makerspaces and immersive reality. The Deputy Director, with the Director and Assistant Director leads the Library’s racial equity action plan to reduce educational disparities for students of color, to support low-income families and to ensure outcomes around grade level reading, digital literacy and youth leadership.
Raemona received a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She was also selected to be a 2016 American Library Association Emerging Leader
