Our youngest readers are more engaged in activism than ever before. Two author/illustrator creative teams will take attendees behind the scenes of writing and illustrating books for socially engaged readers. Speakers include Carole Lindstrom and Michaela Goade, author and illustrator of the Caldecott Medal winner We Are Water Protectors and Angela Joy and Janelle Washington, author and illustrator of Choosing Brave: How Mamie Till-Mobley and Emmett Till Sparked the Civil Rights Movement.
