Abstract/Program Book Description: The first and most enduring award for LGBTQ books is the Stonewall Book Awards, sponsored by the American Library Association's Rainbow Round Table. The award ceremony also includes recognition for professional awards under the Round Table.
Long Description/Scheduler Description: The first and most enduring award for LGBTQ books is the Stonewall Book Awards, sponsored by the American Library Association's Rainbow Round Table. Since Isabel Miller's Patience and Sarah received the first award in 1971, many other books have been honored for exceptional merit relating to the gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender experience. Come and hear from this year's winners. High attendance event, so please come early! The award ceremony also includes recognition for the Round Table's professional awards.
