Under the Mellon-funded grant, Expanding Information Access for Incarcerated People, San Francisco Public Library is hosting an invitee-only discussion of library services and incarceration. During the first national convening of librarians engaged in this work, librarians and staff will be able to share information about their services and will be invited to provide feedback on resources in development through SFPL. This event will be virtual and in-person, with lunch provided for in-person attendees. This invite-only closed session meeting precedes the open hearing on the new version of the ALA Standards for library service to incarcerated people.
