Driving Ahead: Navigating Staff Through Change and ILS Upgrades

A narrative about instructional design and a new integrated library system, this session describes training staff for a large-scale software transformation. Insights include how to project manage during a pandemic, teach a multi-branch system, and address the needs of learners with diverse skillsets. Attendees will leave with knowledge on how to construct a training program that is a vehicle for continuous learning and embracing change.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to identify challenges for training staff on a new ILS (integrated library system).
Upon completion, participants will be able to explain instructional design techniques for in-person and virtual learning for a diverse audience.
