Legislative Lead Governor's Committee on Disability Issues and Employment
Presentation Purpose & Goal: Contemporary recruiters and hiring authorities are seeking ways to be more inclusive in their recruitment and hiring practices for workers with disabilities. Often, they unintentionally erect or leave in place barriers that exclude workers with disabilities in hiring and promotion. In addition, governmental employers and federal contractors are mandated to achieve hard-to-reach staffing percentages for workers with disabilities. I can present up-to-date strategies for removing these barriers and becoming an employer of choice for workers with disabilities.
