Presentation Purpose & Goal: How do we make sure our community can be successful in our workforce environments? Are we ready to hire and promote with our values and vision as motivation? Are we willing to remove the biased lens we previously looked through?

This interactive, discussion-based workshop will cover these topics and more, focusing on how promoting Diversity, Equity, Access, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEAI-B) in community partnerships and workforce development can serve the community, increase access, and foster growth. Collaboration is pivotal when building a diverse workforce.

Learning Objectives:

Why DEAI-B must be at the forefront of this work
Why workforce development is one piece of the puzzle of developing a community to sustain economic prosperity and vitality
How to act as a bridge between communities and businesses to bring them together. Engage with communities without prior bias or a predetermined plan, meet them where they are, and ask them what they need
