Presentation Purpose & Goal: Apprenticeship is a proven workforce training method that helps companies build a talent pipeline while reducing turnover costs and increasing employee retention. This session will cover strategic partnerships to bring apprenticeship into a community and how these workforce training programs are strengthened by increasing connections with partners such as K-12 school districts, economic development, workforce development councils, the business community, and program intermediaries. We will provide insight into strong contacts that you can engage with to bring new programs into your community so that you can leave with action items and a strategic plan to increase workforce development.

Learn why apprenticeship is a valuable training model for multiple industries, and how it can help to increase employee retention, save training costs, and build tomorrow's workforce
You will walk away with action items, and an evaluation of your current community partnerships, to see how you can strategically move forward to implement apprenticeship programs within your own community
Create an action plan and use an evaluation to understand your next steps in establishing apprenticeship programs within your local area
