Armel leads a team of regional CISOs and is responsible for Corporate Solutions and Reinsurance cyber security, regulatory compliance. Armel also serves as the IT Operations Business Partner in the Americas. In addition to his regional compliance and IT governance focus, Armel is engaged in applications and initiatives that span Swiss Re's locations worldwide. Prior to joining Swiss Re in 2005, Armel was a managing consultant with KPMG and Ernst & Young focusing on business transformation, process reengineering and technology transformation for financial services companies. Previously, Armel managed Strategic Initiatives at Prudential Insurance Company of America, focused on cost effectiveness and improving efficiencies with new technologies and partnerships and the demutualization of Prudential Insurance. Armel earned a Bachelor's degree at Columbia College in New York and an Executive MBA from Columbia University's Graduate School of Business.
