Michael Cassel is the managing partner and co-founder of Cassel & Cassel, P.A. He began his career defending insurance carriers in both State and Federal Court where he concentrated on first and third-party commercial and residential insurance claims with a focus on coverage, liability, and bad faith issues. While representing carriers, he instructed courses on claims adjustment practices as well as deposition skills for insurance adjusters, corporate representatives, and expert witnesses. Michael has now taken the knowledge and experience obtained in defending and instructing insurance companies and utilized it in the representation of policyholders throughout the State of Florida.
Michael is licensed by the Florida Bar as well as in the Southern, Middle, and Northern Federal Districts of Florida. He has earned an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell. He has also been named a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers Magazine for the last four consecutive years and was named as one of South Florida Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 for 2020. Michael regularly publishes blogs on newly released case law pertaining to first party property insurance claims and is quickly becoming a regular on the lecture circuit.
