Craig Mailhiot, CPCU, AIC, is the Director of Claims for Florida Family Insurance located in Jacksonville, FL. Craig’s area of responsibility includes the development of long-term and short-term department goals and objectives; directing, formulating, and implementing policies and objectives; hiring, training, and retaining staff; and assisting in the managing of a variety of technical and administrative issues, including workflow, staffing and various personnel issues, as well as participating in complex claims and catastrophe planning.

Craig has 24 years of combined experience in claims adjusting and claims management of personal and commercial auto, property, liability, and flood claims. He has focused his past eight years primarily on residential property and liability claims. Craig has extensive experience in planning for and responding to major catastrophes

Craig received his B.A. in English Literature from the University of South Florida. Craig also attended Southern Farm Bureau Tech, in Jackson, MS, where he studied Property Estimating, Physical Damage Estimating, Advanced Bodily Injury Evaluation, Negotiation Training, Supervisory Management / Claims Management Training, and Legal Research.
