John (Jay) A. Voelpel, IV is the Vice President of Client Services for Sedgwick Delegated Authority (CJW). Jay received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in 2002 from Florida Southern College and his CPCU designation in 2012. John also holds his AIC, all lines Independent Adjustors License, and is a certified Appraiser and Umpire. Jay is heavily involved several Insurance Associations and Networks. He has been a long-standing member of The Orlando Claims Association where he has served as President, Vice President, Treasurer and many other important roles throughout this tenure. He is also a member of the Florida Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention, The Windstorm Insurance Network, and is actively involved with the Florida Surplus Lines Association, Wholesale & Surplus Insurance Association (NAPSLO, AAMGA), and the Target Markets Program Administrators Association.
Jay has been active in the insurance claims community for 19 years. Before joining CJW in 2012, he was part owner of Voelpel Claims Services for 12 years where he was heavily involved in growing a successful adjusting business while actively adjusting claims as an Independent Adjustor. At Sedgwick, Jay is now responsible for managing a fast-growing client base consisting of Program and Binder business. He is also accountable for expanding and strengthening Sedgwick's relationship with the London Market, Lloyd's, Subscribing Syndicates, Brokers, and the LMA. Jay actively works with Excess and Surplus Carriers outside of the states to help them understand the changing dynamic of US claims and current trends. He is instrumental in developing and executing claim adjustment practices while focusing on both Client and Insured Satisfaction.
