Dear Friends and Colleagues:
We are excited to announce that this year’s 39th World Congress of Endourology and Uro- Technology 2022 (WCET 2022) will be hosted in “America’s Finest City”—San Diego, CA on October 1st-October 4th.
Whether your interests are in patient care, research, or education, WCET 2022 offers something for you. You may have visited San Diego in the Spring during past American Urological Association’s Annual meetings BUT have not seen San Diego in the Fall. This is by far our best weather—warm, sunny, with very few crowds. San Diego is a “can’t miss” at this time of the year!
The theme of the 2022 WCET meeting is “Wave of the Future”. We have an exciting new addition to the program this year that includes a series of hands-on courses, which will be conducted at an offsite event at the magnificent state-of-the-art UC San Diego's Future of Surgery Center on Saturday, October 1st. These courses will be conducted by world experts, featuring new technologies and surgical techniques.
Beginning Sunday, the plenaries will kick off with a series of lectures surrounding innovation relative to the future of our field. Ever popular semi-live surgery sessions will include robotic surgery (single port robotics, robotic simple prostatectomy, robotic partial nephrectomy), nephrolithiasis and BPH.
Exhibits will be held on Sunday, followed by a Networking Reception, and continue through Tuesday for you to network with industry leaders, engage with the experts and collaborate with peers.
Sincerely,
Roger L. Sur, MD WCET 2022 President Professor of Urology UC San Diego Comprehensive Kidney Stone Center, Director UC San Diego-Kaiser Lap/Endo Fellowship, Director
Jaime Landman, MD, FRCS (Gl) WCET 2022 Scientific Committee Chair Professor of Urology and Radiology Endowed Chair in Urologic Surgical Oncology Chair, Department of Urology University of California, Irvine
