This session will focus on the critical role that building codes play in supporting firefighter safety and fireground operations. Participants will learn how building codes inform fire service leadership and decision-making along with how they contribute to overall community risk reduction. This session will also present real-world examples of how a basic understanding of building codes and building safety systems can be the difference between a successful outcome or a “career event”.
