The US Fire Administration (USFA), created as a result of the seminal document, America Burning, works on a daily basis to enhance the ability of fire and emergency services and allied professionals to deal more effectively with fire and related emergencies. The USFA’s National Fire Academy (NFA) provides free training courses and programs which are delivered at our campus in Emmitsburg, Maryland, online, and throughout the nation and reaches more than 70,000 career and volunteer fire and EMS personnel on an annual basis. This presentation will give attendees a great look inside the USFA, share the various activities of the organization, opportunities that are available on an on-going basis free of charge from the NFA, and discuss the processes for getting involved.
