Ellen Donnelly is an assistant professor of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of Delaware. Her research broadly examines disparities in the U.S. criminal and juvenile justice systems. She specializes in using statistical methods to estimate the size and sources of disparity in justice processing as well as the impacts of justice reform. In Delaware, Ellen has worked with the New Castle County Division of Police, the Access to Justice Commission, and the State Administrative Office of the Courts on their research and evaluation projects. Her work aims to help Delaware policymakers design fairer processing practices.
