Drug overdose deaths involving psychostimulants, including methamphetamine, were reported to have reached over 23,000 in 2020, and have only been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to its significant border location, Arizona acts as a gateway for these psychostimulants to enter the country and flood drug markets. The Stimulant Summit will highlight what is working to address the escalating meth and cocaine crisis in a community on the Southwest border. Join leaders from this border community as they discuss the challenges they face with rising psychostimulant use, how they are responding and the power of recovery.
