Dr. Emily Collins earned her Ph.D. in Human Factors Engineering from Purdue University before embarking on a distinguished career spanning over two decades at IBM. Throughout her tenure, she held various roles encompassing Human Factors Engineering across hardware and software domains, and delved into people analytics for Diversity in Human Resources. Notably, her contributions garnered several accolades, including the esteemed Emerging Leaders Award from the Society of Women Engineers in 2007. Additionally, Dr. Collins showcased her expertise through numerous publications and secured two patents during her tenure at IBM.
Transitioning to Mayo Clinic five years ago, Dr. Collins assumed the role of Operations Specialist within the CPD division, focusing on the EthosCE product line. Her exceptional performance led to a recent promotion to System Manager within the same domain. At Mayo Clinic, she has been instrumental in enhancing EthosCE, collaborating with teams to implement improvements and ensure compliance with relevant frameworks. Driven by her commitment to nurturing a supportive learning environment, she dedicates time to onboard new CPD staff, offering guidance and hosting open office hours for assistance. Furthermore, she shares valuable insights via daily tips and hints on the EthosCE Yammer board, facilitating staff engagement and efficiency.
