It is estimated that in 2019, 20 million Americans were seen in a dental office, but not by their primary care physician! This offers a unique opportunity to provide much-needed screening and referral for interprofessional care within dental practices. This course will focus on strategies that can be implemented within the dental office to identify at-risk individuals and discuss the bidirectional impacts of oral and systemic health.
