This workshop meets you where you are, providing an opportunity to increase your confidence and skill in performing the visual and tactile, extraoral and intraoral evaluation/EOIO. Susan will utilize her instructional EOIO screening video to review a thorough EOIO, discuss palpation techniques, optimal positioning, and oropharyngeal evaluation. After instruction, you will partner with another attendee to practice and refine your EOIO skills and conduct a written oral cancer risk assessment. Pre-registration is required.
Learning Objectives:
Demonstrate a comprehensive visual and tactile, intraoral and extraoral evaluation
Recognize the importance of an oral cancer risk assessment, and inquiry of signs and symptoms
Identify and document Mallampati score and tonsil grade
