Dr. Budenz will present the anatomical landmarks and discuss the steps of individual nerve block techniques. After a clinical demonstration of the technique, you will pair up with another participant to practice locating the landmarks and walking through the technique on each other (no actual injections are given). The techniques presented include the conventional IA Regional Nerve Block, Gow-Gates and Vazirani-Akinosi Mandibular Division Nerve Blocks, and the maxillary quadrant nerve block.

Better assess and use the best anatomical landmarks for multiple injection techniques
Understand possible causes and solutions for failures and complications in delivering local anesthesia
Discuss techniques that best anesthetize possible accessory nerve innervations for more profound blocks
