Description:

Most practitioners are intimately familiar with the SLP Scope of Practice, but questions persist regarding the role of speech-language pathology assistants (SLPAs) in schools. This session highlights key changes within SLPA practice, including responsibilities, educational requirements, and considerations for culturally responsive practices. The speaker introduces a newly developed mentoring program designed to enhance collaborative relationships between SLPs and SLPAs.
