Marva Mount, M. A., CCC-SLP has been a practicing speech-language pathologist for over 35 years. In her career, Marva has practiced in a variety of settings, most of those spent in the schools. She has served in various capacities as a speech-language pathologist and administrator, and finds her work in the school system as her greatest accomplishment. Currently, Marva is the Related Services Director for Imagine Learning. In 2018, Marva received the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (TSHA) Hall of Fame Award for her many contributions to the field of speech-language pathology. In March 2022, Marva was inducted as a Fellow into the National Academies of Practice (NAP). Marva has presented at the state, national, and international level on issues that pertain to school-based therapy. She is also a chapter author for “Professional Issues in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, 5th Edition” and "Professional Issues in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, 4th Edition", as well as a contributing author to ASHA Special Interest Group 16: School-Based Issues.
