(POS12) Preparing Students Who Use AAC for Emergency Situations
When emergencies and disasters strike, students who use AAC are particularly vulnerable. This presentation describes the role of school-based SLPs in mitigation, discussing ways that teams can be assisted in preparing AAC users for emergency situations. Free and low-cost resources for supporting these students will be reviewed.
