Doctor Bryan T. Fisher Sr. is both a nationally recognized endovascular surgeon and educator for future leaders in medicine. Uniquely qualified to discuss the challenges and solutions in health care education, Dr. Fisher is consistently recognized as both a caring and highly skilled surgeon and an innovator in the field of vascular surgery.
Dr. Fisher graduated with honors from Tennessee State University and became a Ronald McNair and MARC Scholar during his matriculation. He attended UW Madison School of Medicine and Public Health, but deferred a year to teach 5th grade at Belmont Elementary School in Woodbridge, VA. After medical school, Dr. Fisher then completed a five year general surgery residency at The Ohio State University. He then culminated his surgical training as a vascular surgery fellow at Vanderbilt University under Dr. Thomas C. Naslund.
Dr. Fisher is now a board certified Vascular and Endovascular specialist for The Surgical Clinic in Nashville, TN. There, he continues to excel as a leader in surgical innovation and personalized patient care. As Physician Lead for Vascular Services Tristar Division, HCA Dr. Fisher plays a leading role in the treatment of aortic disease, wound care, and is a recognized expert in lower extremity functional limb preservation using minimally invasive and open techniques. He is a regular panelist at many national vascular meetings and has an international reach through teaching fellows and trained surgeons from abroad.
