Cardiac Surgery Resident
Dalhousie University
I completed medical school at Western University in 2018 and, since then, have been very fortunate to be training in cardiac surgery at Dalhousie University. Currently, I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Medical Research Graduate Program and Clinician Investigator Program. My main academic focuses are translational research in congenital heart surgery and also Quality Improvement Initiatives in adult cardiac surgery. Our Quality Improvement Patient Safety (QIPS) Program is now in its third year of progress and yielding data that can precisely identify areas of need to launch Quality Improvement initiatives. QIPS is resident-led and supported by faculty in a supportive surgical culture committed to enhancing outcomes for the patients we serve.
