I have been a NYU cardiothoracic surgeon at NYU Langone Health for the past three decades I am the inaugural Steven B. Colvin Cardiothoracic Surgery Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery and the Program Director for the Thoracic Surgery Residency in the NYU School of Medicine. In addition to practicing in the NYU I am chief of cardiothoracic surgery at the New York Harbor Veterans’ Administration Hospital,
I have published with greater than 250 peer reviewed manuscripts, and have been on the editorial board of the Annals of Thoracic Surgery, and the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. I am currently the Adult editor of the Seminars in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. My current areas of study include LV reshaping, minimally invasive valve surgery, and the use of artificial intelligence techniques for surgical Quality Analysis. My clinical practice is split between cardiothoracic surgery at the Veterans' Administration and a highly specialized robotic mitral valve repair practice at the NYU Langone Medical Center.
Dr. Grossi is a life-long New Yorker who enjoys traveling and teaching in all corners of the world. At home, his hobbies are gardening, fishing, and building small (and large) computer systems.
