Dr. Michael Turner was born and raised in California. He attended Corban University in Salem, OR for his undergraduate education. He earned his M.D. in 2018 at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon where he was active in the Student National Medical Association. He is currently a general surgery residency at University of California, San Diego (UCSD) in his research years. As part of Dr. Michael Bouvet's lab, he is studying fluorescence guided surgery for pancreatic, gastric and colorectal cancer as while as obtaining a Masters Degree in Advance Studies in Clinical Research. After completing his clinical residency, Dr. Turner is interested in continuing his training in surgical oncology.
