Dr. Stephanie Young obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Master of Public Health degree from Columbia University, and medical degree from UCLA. She completed her general surgery residency training at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center, where she served as the wellness chief resident and co-chair of the Graduate Medical Education committee. During residency, she was awarded the Brennan scholarship, in which she spent a month training in cytoreductive surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Dr. Young has had multiple peer-reviewed first-author publications in Annals of Surgical Oncology, HPB, Journal of Surgical Oncology, Surgery, Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery, Journal of Pediatric Surgery, and American Surgeon. She has presented her research at the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, ACS Clinical Congress, American Association of Endocrine Surgeons, Pacific Association of Pediatric Surgeons, Pacific Coast Surgical Association, and Southern California Chapter ACS. She is currently a first-year complex surgical oncology fellow at Saint John's Cancer Institute (formerly John Wayne Cancer Institute).
