Steven Forsythe M.S. is a 3rd year PhD candidate in the Cancer Biology Program at Wake Forest University under Dr. Shay Soker and has worked at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM) as a technician and student. His main project includes the development of tumor organoids for the determination of clinical therapies from several tumor types, including appendiceal, brain, colorectal, melanoma and sarcoma, in collaboration with Dr. Konstantinos Votanopolous at the Wake Forest Comprehensive Cancer Center.He has worked on multiple projects involving biomaterial development, the integration of iPSC derived healthy organoids for preclinical therapy testing and precision medicine-based cancer therapies. Steven previously graduated from the University of Wisconsin and has worked at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
