Dr. Alexandra Gangi is a board-certified surgical oncologist at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Gangi completed a completed her surgical oncology fellowship at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. She currently serves as the associate program director of the Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship and director of the Gastrointestinal Tumor Program with specialization in hepatopancreaticobiliary, gastrointestinal, neuroendocrine and peritoneal surface malignancies. Her research focuses on metastatic colorectal cancer and neuroendocrine tumors. Specifically, she has NIH and DOD funding investigating the tumor microenvironment for development of liver metastases from pancreatic, colon, and prostate cancers and in understanding the nature of chemotherapy induced liver injury.
