Crisanta H. Ilagan, MD, MHS is a Post-doctoral Research Fellow in the Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) Service in the Department of Surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). She attended the University of California at Berkeley, obtaining degrees in Molecular & Cell Biology and Psychology. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and comes to MSK as a general surgery resident at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center. Prior to attending medical school, she worked as a manager in the Health Economics and Outcomes Research Division at Covance (now Labcorp Drug Development), a global clinical research organization. She possesses extensive experience conducting post-marketing clinical trials of various drugs, diagnostics, and medical devices as well as research in health economics and patient reported outcomes in patients with cancer and chronic pain.
Her current research aims to improve care and outcomes for patients with liver and pancreatic cancers through the evaluation of novel interventions in clinical trials and quality improvement strategies for cancer surgery.
