Chris was born in Queens, NY and raised in Flanders, NJ. He received his medical degree from Rutgers – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2011 and completed his general surgery training at the University of Rochester Medical Center in 2019. During his time in Rochester, NY, he spent 3 years at the Surgical Health Outcomes & Research Enterprise under the mentorship of Fergal Fleming and John Monson during which he performed health services research and obtained a Master’s degree in Public Health. After residency, he then completed a complex general surgical oncology fellowship at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center where he continued to pursue his research interests related to variation in quality of cancer care delivery and outcomes under the mentorship of Aslam Ejaz and Alex Kim. He is now currently a colon and rectal surgery fellow at AdventHealth Orlando with a plan to pursue an academic career with a clinical focus on the comprehensive management and surgical treatment of primary and metastatic colorectal cancer. In his free time, he enjoys both watching and playing sports, running, photography, and traveling.
