Steven Sun is a general surgery resident in the Department of Surgery at the Ohio State University. He obtained a BA in Anthropology and Biochemistry from Washington University in St. Louis, and his MD from the University of Michigan Medical School. He completed his MS in medical science at the Ohio State University during his dedicated research time in residency. He is an advocate for medical student education and improving the medical student experience while on surgical rotations. He conducted basic science/translational research work in immuno-oncology, studying immunosuppressive cells and their effect on current immunotherapy under the tutelage of Dr. William E Carson, III, MD. He is currently applying for a fellowship position in Complex General Surgical Oncology this year.
