Dr. Jason M. Foster is Professor of Surgery at the Fred and Pamela Buffet Cancer at the University of Nebraska in the Division of Surgical Oncology, Department of Surgery. Dr. Foster earned his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania and medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. He completed general surgery residency at the Case Western Reserve/University Hospital Cleveland Ohio followed by surgical oncology fellowship training at Roswell Park Cancer Institute Buffalo New York.
Dr. Foster joined the faculty at University of Nebraska in 2012 to develop a regional cancer therapies program and expand complex gastrointestinal malignancies services. Clinically he also has worked to expand the melanoma and sarcoma services and the regional therapies in these diseases. Dr. Foster served on curriculum committee for SSO-Regional Cancer Therapies, currently serves on the boards for Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation (MARF) board of directors and editorial board member for the Annals of Surgical Oncology and Journal of Surgical Oncology. His research focuses on peritoneal metastasis both clinical outcomes, clinical trials, and collaborative translation studies identifying/exploring pathways involved in peritoneal metastasis in appendix, colorectal, ovarian, and mesothelioma.
