Syed Nabeel Zafar MD MPH is an assistant professor in surgical oncology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He completed his medical education from the Aga Khan University in Pakistan, an MPH from Harvad T. H. Chan School of Public Health, a general surgery residency from Howard University, a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery from the University of Maryland and a fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is a health services researcher, and his work focuses on studying and improving outcomes after cancer surgery both in the United States and internationally in low-and-middle-income countries. He has an interest in disparities in outcomes after cancer surgery.
