Dr. Delman is currently the Carlos Professor of Surgery and the Associate Chair of the Emory University Department of Surgery. He also serves as the director of the Carlos and Davis Center for Surgical Anatomy and Technique (CSAT), and Acting Surgeon-in-Chief at Grady Memorial Hospital. In the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University School of Medicine, he is a senior member of the melanoma program. Dr. Delman's practice also focuses on treating complex cutaneous oncology, including adnexal tumors of the skin, merkel cell carcinoma and sarcoma.
He is a member of the American Surgical Association, Society of Surgical Oncology, Southern Surgical Association, American College of Surgeons, Academy of Master Surgeon Educators, Association of Surgical Education and the Association of Program Directors in Surgery. He has held leadership positions in several and is currently helping to lead the SSO's CGSO-SCORE platform. He is an Associate Editor of CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians and a member of several other editorial boards.
He is married to a remarkable leader in public health, Dr. Dana Meaney-Delman, who is an ob/gyn and Branch Chief at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Together they have two daughters, Samantha, age 22 and Emma, age 18.
