Dr. Lesly Dossett MD, MPH is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Michigan. Dr. Dossett completed general surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2010. During a two year post-doctoral research fellowship, she was awarded an Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) training grant and obtained a Masters in Public Health with a focus on epidemiology, patient-centered outcomes, quality and policy. After completing residency, she entered active duty with the United States Navy where she served as a Staff Surgeon in various roles stateside and overseas. After fulfillment of her active duty obligation, Dr. Dossett entered clinical fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL in 2014. She joined the faculty of the University of Michigan in 2016. Dr. Dossett’s clinical focus is on breast cancer, melanoma and soft tissue sarcoma.
