Dr. Williams is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She received her MD from Harvard Medical School, where she was a part of the Health Sciences and Technology program dedicated to training physician scientists. She completed her Residency in General Surgery at the University of Chicago, where she also received her Masters of Science in Public Health Studies. Dr. Williams completed a Complex Surgical Oncology fellowship at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. Her clinical expertise includes GI/HPB cancers, with particular interest in complex abdominal and minimally invasive surgeries. Her research interests include hospital quality, patient reported outcomes, and value in healthcare.
