Amreena Suri has a Bachelors in Science (Microbiology) from SriKrishnaDevaraya University in India and a Bachelors in Science (Biology) from NorthEastern Illinois University, Chicago. She has recently graduated with a MPH from DePaul University, Chicago. She currently is affiliated with the Hashizume Lab as a Research Lab Manager at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Suri has always been excited about research and exploring the world of science, and this is evident through her career which has been a plethora of experiences working in research labs, be it working for a malaria research lab from Loyola University as a Lab Assitant for more than a decade to moving to a pediatric brain tumor research lab at Lurie Children's, where she started as a Research Associate and moved up to be a Research Lab Manager. Throughout her career she has been involved in many projects which have led to multiple poster presentations and publication of many peer-reviewed publications. Apart from her career in science, she is an avid environmentalist. She is a part of the Environmental Commission for the Vilage of Lincolnwood, Illinois where she advises the Village of Lincolnwood in her advisory capacity on all projects and programs which affect the quality of life for the citizens of Lincolnwood, Illinois and is currently developing a sustainability plan for the Villahge of Lincolnwood.
