I am a physician scientist who studies the role of tumor cell metabolism in glioblastoma with the goal to identify mechanisms of treatment resistance and novel drug combination therapies. Our recent work has also linked the epigenome with tumor cell metabolism, showing evidence that histone deacetylases are important regulators of energy metabolism in model systems of glioblastoma.
